Prisoner is a 3D puzzle game developed during Global Game Jam 2024, a 72-hour international event where teams build games around a shared theme. This year’s theme, “Make Me Laugh,” challenged us to create an experience that combines humor with engaging gameplay.

I worked as a Game Designer, contributing to the core idea, gameplay mechanics, and overall player experience. The process started with rapid brainstorming sessions where we explored different ways to interpret humor in an interactive format, eventually shaping a concept that blends light narrative elements with puzzle-based progression.

Throughout the development, we focused on creating moments that feel unexpected and playful without breaking the flow of the game. Balancing humor with gameplay was one of the main challenges, as we aimed to keep the experience engaging while maintaining a consistent tone.

The game was built using Unity, where we implemented core mechanics, level interactions, and basic game flow within a very limited timeframe. Working under a strict 72-hour deadline required quick decision-making, constant iteration, and close collaboration across the team.

This project was a strong exercise in rapid prototyping and creative problem-solving, where the goal was not perfection but delivering a complete and meaningful experience under tight constraints.
