Marmara Career Fair 2025 Mobile App was developed as the official companion application for one of the largest regional career events in Türkiye, bringing together thousands of students, companies, and academic institutions.
The project had a strict 40-day deadline leading up to a two-day event with over 50,000 attendees, requiring fast execution, clear prioritization, and reliable delivery under pressure.
I worked as a Lead Developer in the same two-person team behind KOU Mobile, taking responsibility across both frontend and backend integration. Beyond development, I was actively involved in coordinating with the laboratory IT team, aligning technical requirements, and ensuring the system was ready for real-world usage during the event.
Unlike previous projects, we did not receive pre-defined designs. The entire product, from UX decisions to final implementation, was shaped internally, requiring us to move fast while maintaining a usable and consistent experience. My teammate designed the screens in Figma, and we worked closely to balance speed and clarity, making sure the app stayed simple and fluid despite the tight timeline.
The application integrates with systems connected to yetenekkapisi.org, enabling students to interact directly with companies during the event. One of the core features was a QR-based system that allowed attendees to share their resumes with company stands instantly. Recruiters could access candidate information in real time, creating a seamless interaction between students and companies.
In addition to user-facing features, the system was designed to collect and process event data. We implemented mechanisms to track booth visits and user interactions, enabling the generation of insights such as most visited stands and overall engagement patterns. This data was later visualized as a heat map, providing valuable feedback for event organizers.
From a technical perspective, the mobile application was built using React Native with Expo, allowing us to efficiently deliver a cross-platform solution within a limited timeframe. The backend infrastructure was provided by the laboratory team, built on Node.js and MongoDB, and I worked closely with them to integrate APIs for CV submission, stand data, and entry validation.
The app was successfully published on the App Store and deployed as an Android build for the event, where it was actively used by thousands of participants in real time.

The project was also featured in national media coverage (TRT Haber) and shared by Kocaeli University, highlighting its role as a core digital component of the event.
This project was a strong experience in building a time-critical, production-ready system for large-scale real-world usage, where reliability, speed, and user interaction directly impacted the success of a live event.
